For whatever reason, society has changed the dating game and believes that two individuals are truly only in a relationship if it's on facebook. If it's not - apparently it is fair game. Read this story: I had a boyfriend for about two years - it was an unhealthy relationship and we were constantly on-and-off. Anytime we were in our "off" stage, I swear the first thing he did was change his relationship status from "in a relationship" to "single," because he said, and I quote, "well, I don't want people to think I am in a relationship if I'm not." Completely understandable, but sad to think that after a break-up, people are no longer trying to take time to themselves to think about what happened in the relationship and how to fix it, we're no longer calling our friends for comfort, instead - we're changing our relationship status. Dating Tip: Don't stress yourself over the whole relationship status title on facebook. It will only stir up problems, and it really is not a big deal. If society continues to let this social media platform determine our relationships, before we know it, the only correct way to propose to someone in the future will be through a facebook wall post.
