Many people looked into social networking sites as a great pool of real and even rear talent. This is why so many unemployed individuals turn to the internet and treated it as a very essential tool for finding their next job. Though not being in a social networking community will not really stop anybody from getting employed, it does limit his employment opportunities and job search capacities. This is the reason why some companies find it a must to join the social media craze and create a social networking website for their business so they too can take advantage of the unlimited pool of talents that the internet has to offer.

For some companies, social networking is a great recruitment tool. Sometimes, if an individual is not within the company's online social radar, his chance of getting hired is really low. This is just logical. Some companies established their online presence through social networking and they opted to create a social networking website of their own for the purpose of finding the right people who will join their company and become substantial for its growth and success. One global company for an instance was reported to hire almost a thousand of its employees through the different social media channels including referrals and personal connections with their existing employees. These connections are of course made possible by social networking sites and if a company has its own site for this purpose, it has a bigger chance of finding the right people for the business.

However, business people must realize that the focus of creating a social networking website for the company must not be on just acquiring talented and skilled people for the company but more so on building a mutually beneficial relationship and interaction with numerous individuals who may not be suitable for a job offer but might know someone who is. The internet is indeed a big pool of unlimited skills and talents but sometimes it's not what you know but who you know.
