• It is a place of getting to know more friends from different parts of the world as it is a site that contains a list of new contacts.

• It is for people who are in search for good old friends who have chosen to settle in other places. And, it is an opportunity to reminisce every quality time spent when together.

In addition, social networking owners have their own specific reasons of creating a social site. The specific reasons would likely include the very purpose of which their social site is being built for. Owners can only tell the rest of the story since they are exactly the ones who created the unique functions of their site. The heart of all social networking sites points to the services it can offer to the users.
